Any suggestions for aft deck (is that correct terminology) lounge / deck chairs for my R27? Is there room for something like the "antigravity" type loungers on that deck (two of them)? Other comfy/practical recommendations for sitting and just watching . . .

Thanks.

The problem with the chairs referenced above is that they only fold in one dimension and store in a two dimensional foot print.

Look at this one https://www.rei.com/product/847136/rei-camp-x-chair those chairs besides being cheaper food in two dimensions and collapse into a tubular foot print which is easier to stow away.

On our tugs space is a premium and items need to be foldable or have dual purpose

I also removed the flip down seat in the cave and use one of those rei chairs in there or outside

I replaced the outside table with another rei item, a roll up table like this https://www.rei.com/product/765280/rei-camp-roll-table. Use a bungee cord to hold it down to the floor and you have more space on the table top. Weighs less than the factory table and stores in to a small foot print

We use the Pico's also ours did not We also use a knockoff of the Helinox variety purchased at Wal-Mart for about $20.00. The Helinox has a couple different sizes like a small and a large https://www.rei.com/b/helinox/c/camp-ch ... 0081347827
These get real small in a 16" long or so round bag maybe 5" in diameter. They are however a little harder to exit from.

This is what we use for a cockpit table. Looks nice works for us. Folds up flat maybe about 4" thick. Stays nice with a shot of teak oil once in a while. Defender used to sell them but maybe not any longer. We have a serious boat design team of one in which all boat items most go through a rigorous acceptance and confirmation process. I have suggested some things only to be told "We are not getting that"!!!

Any chance of starting a new index/discussion? Something like Furniture/decorations/interior design?

You can just add to this thread if you have any ideas.

The forum "Owner Customizations" was created for this purpose. Using the Advanced search tool allows you to narrow your search to a specific forum. The use of keywords in your posts will help others find it.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Thinking about aft deck chairs on my R27 when I'm seeing several feet of snow outside my window is a pleasant escape. Only 4 more months (in a perfect world) and I can get the boat, and the chairs, onto my home waters of lake Superior.

Happy New Year everyone!

I just bought two Helinox "Camp Chair"s through CampSaver.com (1 877 883 6276). That model has legs of normal height. The Helinox "Chair One" model has shorter legs and is difficult to get out of. CampSaver was great to deal with. The person with whom I was in contact is Whitney. I had seen the chairs on sale and she extended the sale price for me even though, by the time I contacted CampSaver, the sale has expired.
