air conditioner air flow

I have a cutwater 30
I am having an issue with my AC, after a while the AC in the main cabin stops working
I can hear the compressor running but there is no air flow

I think the coil is freezing up so I had a technician look at it,, he thinks that there is not enough return air as there is only one grille and that is in the lower birth under the helm

has anyone else had this issue,, the filter is clean

There are settings you change at the controller. Sounds like you may have it set to go into defrost mode, which shuts off the fan and goes into reverse cycle. I never use defrost mode. Just set it so the fan stays on even when the compressor cycles off. Moving air acts as defrost mode. Hopefully your issue is that simple.

Recently found my salon AC iced up. There is a second filter behind the water cooled condenser coil in front of evaporator. Mine was dirty slowing air flow and iced up. AC seems to work better than ever now.
