2012 R-29:
We’re on shore power at the slip. Turned on the front and aft air conditioners and they kicked on. GREAT!
Ran for about 3 minutes, then kicked off with HPF reading on the thermostat/controls.
Advice?

Thanks!

Sorry you haven't got any responses. On my R23 Wabasto reverse cycle unit, it has different error codes. One is for high pressure protection - check sea water flow. Another is evaporator freeze protection - check air flow. Another is low pressure protection - this may be low refrigerant charge.

I know that I have said this before on other posts but my AC stopped working and I don’t remember the code that came up but it was simply a bad Capacitor. Replaced it and my unit has been working fine for 4 years.

The first thing to check: Is water being discharged from the side of your boat from the air conditioning thru hull? If it’s not, is the seacock open? If the seacock is open and there’s no water flow out the thru hull, check the strainer. If that’s clean and there’s no water flow, there’s an obstruction somewhere downstream of the strainer. A few years ago, a nesting wasp crawled in the air conditioning thru hull on my R27 Classic and built a nest from grassy material and totally clogged it to the point there was no water flow.

I failed to mention that on our way back up the ICW from Florida the AC stopped working. The raw water pump went bad so I replaced it and it’s been working fine for the last month. No obstruction in the pump, the motor itself would lock up when power was supplied to it.

I have a 2021 RT25. My AC only cools about 10 degrees under outside temperature. Seems plenty of water exits the hull. Any suggestions?

Sounds like what is happening with my forward a/c unit on my 2022 R29...it show an E1 error code on the display. The a/c guy is at the boat right now to investigate.

(It turns on and cools and water coming out of the starboard side (2 streams) for a minute or so and then those streams stop and the unit stays on but no cooling.)
