2012 R25 which is fairly new to me. Seems like the AC has never really worked well however now it will not come on at all with the generator. I recently installed a new impeller on the gen and it dispels water in a nice steady flow but the ac does not even illuminate the thermostat. Maybe I have a setting in the wrong position. ???????

The Air works "pretty well" on shore power but still seems to struggle to cool the cabin. The water stream from the AC is steady but not nearly as strong as the stream coming from the generator. The sea strainer is clear and water appears to be flowing through it properly.

Any ideas??

Hi, it could be the circuit breaker on the gen itself needs to be reset. On my gen it's a push button style.

The gen runs perfectly it just doesn't power the AC. Would the circuit breaker need reset if the gen runs?

If it works on shore power it does not seem it is a problem with a/c unit. Do you have another high amp item like a grill you can test on shore power and then generator to see if it might be a generator connection issue or generator itself?
Because it works on shore power i think you can eliminate issues with water pump and a/c unit. It is my understanding pump comes on first so if you are not getting that i would look a generator connections for corrosion.
Could it be a bad switch where you select between shore and generator?

Do you have a circuit breaker actually on the generator which may have tripped?

Would the generator run if the circuit breaker was tripped? It seems to be running fine and dispelling water properly.

There may be one on the generator. If it is there the generator could run with it tripped. If you dont see it you can test by seeing if you have power to an outlet with shore power off. If you have an inverter be sure it is off as well. It it is tripped the generator motor may still run. Just would not get power to panel.

Yes, motor will run if circuit breaker is tripped. Make sure you are selecting generator, not sure power, and check your volt meter. My 29 uses two shore power inputs. Line one is for everything accept AC and line two is for the AC. You need voltage on both line one and line two and the generator should provide this.

As Todd says, you've got to select the generator as the source of your AC power by setting the rotary switch on the electrical panel from Shore to Generator.

You guys (and gals) are the BEST!

Lifted the cover........reset the circuit breaker.........cool air is flowing!

Just in time for my WV guests to arrive for a Lake Norman boat ride.
