air in cooling system

Will air in cooling system on the yanmar 4jht cause it to run hotter than normal. normal being 175f hot being 210f. just had heat exchanger descaled and corrected improperly installed seals and engine is now runs hotter than before. How do you check for air in system?

Usually after you put in new coolant and you run it a bit the air will burp out and you have to add more coolant. If you want to speed up the process a bit, run the engine at the dock with the cap off the air should escape more easily that way.
