There have been a lot of favorable comments about the Airhead, and we are thinking of installing one. Are there competitors with equally good comments, or are there cautions?
Several Tugnutters have converted the dis-used blackwater tanks to potable. Well, they have dedicated the space formerly occupied by a blackwater tank to a new potable water tank, one hopes. 😀
Has anyone installed a new diesel tank in way of the old blackwater tank? Weight doesn't seem to be a problem - diesel should weigh less than equivalent volume of sanitary. But what scheme works best to get the fuel to the engine? One method would be parallel piping, with separate shut off valves. Or maybe a single three-way valve. Another would be to pipe the auxiliary tank to the existing tank, with a valve. Each tank would be filled at the fuel dock. After the main has been used enough to create room for it, the valve on the aux. would be opened to allow the fuel to gravity drain into the main.
Comments on these methods and other suggestions would be much appreciated.
