There have been a lot of favorable comments about the Airhead, and we are thinking of installing one. Are there competitors with equally good comments, or are there cautions?

Several Tugnutters have converted the dis-used blackwater tanks to potable. Well, they have dedicated the space formerly occupied by a blackwater tank to a new potable water tank, one hopes. 😀

Has anyone installed a new diesel tank in way of the old blackwater tank? Weight doesn't seem to be a problem - diesel should weigh less than equivalent volume of sanitary. But what scheme works best to get the fuel to the engine? One method would be parallel piping, with separate shut off valves. Or maybe a single three-way valve. Another would be to pipe the auxiliary tank to the existing tank, with a valve. Each tank would be filled at the fuel dock. After the main has been used enough to create room for it, the valve on the aux. would be opened to allow the fuel to gravity drain into the main.

Comments on these methods and other suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have the Airhead and was recently talking to someone who had a Natures Head. He seemed to like it and his only comment was that the seat on the Natures Head is molded in whereas on the Airhead it is a regular seat. Other than that I have no other information.
As far as the fuel tanks go. I think I would rather have two separate tanks. Run the rear tank almost dry and then switch to the main tank. If you want to get real sophisticated you could run a fuel gauge to the helm and then it wouldn't matter which one you use first. I personally debated water V fuel. I figured with more water I could stay on the hook longer and that won over going further longer. I guess it is a matter of what works best for you. Now that I am planning a Bahama trip I like that I have more water. I can get fuel in the Bahamas, but I heard the water is not the greatest in some areas.
