My 2020 Ranger 27 OB came with AIS and I have seen other boats that are on that system as a result. I have an MMSI number For the VHF. When filling out the AIS form it asks for the MMSI number but also the Serial number of the VHS unit. Could not get a serial number off the unit due to installation location nor when looking on the VHS readout. Can you provide serial number? Or how and where to find i?
Also looking for location of the GPS antenna position in meters on their boat diagram. Can you help with that input as well.
I did print out the PDF form on the aiscentral.com a while ago but although they want it to be emailed doesn't seem to work. Do you have snail mail address for AIS?
Did the factory already register my boat for the AIS? Hull number is FMLT2718G920. Please check my build.
As a side note the Head Mirror on the back side of the Helm has a "fog or Ghost" in the center where there is glue behind the mirror. Winter Island has asked for a replacement mirror as I understand. Think the glue behind the mirror may be the culprit or the heat from the fuse block behind the center of the wood frame. Can understand that perhaps the glue is there to ensure mirror does not shatter in rough water, Perhaps putty might be better.
Thanks in advance,
