We are looking forward to Kingston.

I'm also putting together a presentation for the September Ranger Rug rendezvous.

I've got a presentation put together for the September Roche Harbor Rendezvous.

The agenda is as follows:
* Introduction
* Cruising SE Alaska
* Trip Summary
* The Four Gates
* Be Prepared
* Lessons Learned
* Glacier Bay Bonus Slide(s): Secrets of how to get a permit with good weather.

Hope to see everybody there!

Glacier bay! We are so behind on publishing content from our SE Alaska trip.

This, just released, is the video of us at Glacier Bay, Margarie Glacier, 1,300 miles from Everett, in a 27 foot boat.

Glaciers, whales, icebergs, ice fields, gorgeous weather, fjords.
This is why we made the journey.

There is no communications (other than satellite), there are no navigational aides (buoys), none.
This is boating out in the wilderness, alone.

Margerie Glacier, at the top of Glacier Bay, is 62 miles away from the nearest fuel dock and nearest land based VHF radio antenna.

The pictures I've posted show the icebergs and glaciers really well. But nothing shows us navigating through the ice field as well as this video, off the 360 degree bow camera.

At the Sept. '23 Roche Harbor Ranger Tug Rendezvous I gave a presentation about our SE Alaska trip to an in-person audience. There were over 120 folks in attendance.

However, I also heard from many who were unable to attend asking if I'd publish a recording of our SE Alaska presentation on YouTube.

We just released the video recording of this presentation.

I originally put the slide deck together and then recorded myself at home going through the presentation to find out how long it would be for the Roche Harbor presentation. This was my first run going through it.

Questions and comments are always welcome.

3 adults, 3 dogs, 55 days and 2,600 miles... On a 27 foot boat. Everett to Glacier Bay, and back.

Martin, I watched the video yesterday! Nicely done with copious information. Thank you!
