Going on poets cove trip out of Anacortes. Will be trailering boat from Oregon. Will be in San Juans for about 3 weeks. I need a place a secure place to park the trailer and the truck. I will need to get the truck in and out to get people to the airport etc. Anyone know of a good bet?

Thanks,

Your truck can park free at Cap Sante Marina. Your trailer will cost you $5.00 per day or $30 per week. Camera's abound, security patrols. I have never had an issue here even though it is not fenced off from the public. Your boat trailer can be parked just above the entrance to J, K, and L docks. Your truck can be parked near it or anywhere else convenient.

As Herb mentioned you can park your truck at the marina, in the gravel lot just beyond the harbor master area is where we left ours for 3 months last summer. We did however store our trailer at North Harbor Diesel 360-299-1907 and ask for Dianna. They have several large gated lots just south of the marina area. I think we paid $25 per month.

Cap Sante has a nice boat lift to keep your trailer out of the salt. You can buy an in and out lift at the same time as you pay for parking. They have two lots to choose from. One is straight across from the lift (behind McDonalds) and the other is to the left (about 1 block) as you are leaving the lift. We stored the trailer attached to the tow vehicle but unhooked and left the trailer behind when we used the SUV. We also did not have any problems.
