Our white anchor (360 degree) light is now on whenever the house batteries are on. The bow lights turn on/off as one would expect. We assume that the three position switch has failed, but before we dig into replacing that wanted to know if we may be missing something simple. Thanks - Eric

It is a 3 position switch. Center is off up is Navigation, down is anchor only. As wired in our boat.

Thanks for the correction, I edited my post (I meant 3). And, yes, that's the way our switch used to function. The 3rd position, or "down" no longer does anything different than the center position.

I would suspect the switch is bad. An easy trouble shoot before replacing the switch would be to remove the anchor light wire from the switch. If the light goes off the issue is in the switch if the light stays on it is picking up a 12V source from somewhere else. I'm not familiar with the bridge components. Is there a switch at lower helm and bridge?

Hey Eric,

I would have you check to make sure that the bridge switch isn't on by mistake. If the switch is in the on position it will stay on even if the helm switch is off. Double check this and if you have any questions feel free to email me.

Thank,
Kevin Lamont
