On this topic there is always a lot of discussion about various anchors but rarely any discussion about what type of bottom one typically anchors on. It does make a difference which anchor will perform best. It's a compromise for those of us who have to anchor on multiple bottom types. You FLA boaters have it easy. Other than those pesky hurricanes. And squalls every afternoon. 😀
In direct response to the OP, on our R25 in order to go from the factory supplied 16lb claw to a 22 lb Delta, we had to shift the bolt in the tilting roller to the "longer" position. And at that with the anchor on the roller the tip of the plow just clears the stem.
I'll not venture any comments on performance of the anchor. Through two seasons thus far we've not had to survive more than 25kts or so which isn't much of a test.
