we have an RT 29 CB.
Since obtaining this when we anchor we have to manually pull the rode to the side in the locker as it is raised as it binds up and stops the windless.

the anchor also comes up backwards so we have to push it to turn it the correct way.

Is there something that we can do or are doing things wrong? I did see some postings that others are having similar issues as well.
We do have a Rocna anchor with the Mantus guard.

Also there are two lockers, one on each side of the windless and the rode only collects on one side, (port).

Any suggestions,

Thank you

I have an R29. The rope pulls up but I do have to push the chain to the port side. Also 50/50 on having to reach down and turn the anchor (mantus anchor and swivel). I know not any help but I can commiserate.

It is what it is with the the rope coming in
I think you just have to tend it to some degree
You might benefit from a swivel added to the end of your chain. Don’t have one but haven’t needed one. It might help with your backward anchor deal though

Same boat. I moved 100 feet of rope up onto the starboard side locker and the last 50 feet of rope to the port side locker. Thus just the 50 feet of chain hangs straight down. If using more than 75 feet (chain plus rode) when retrieving I retrieve from the bow until I am at just chain. Moving the rode out and up. Then I go back to helm to retrieve the chain and anchor.

I also have a ronca 15 and a Mantus swivel and agree it doesn’t always rotate (gets stuck backwards). I saw an Ultra Marine ‘flip’ swivel that addresses and solves this issue. But am still researching it’s quality etc.
