Today on this blustery PNW morning we launched Nudibranch and brought her to her slip in Anacortes. Andrew was kind enough to go through her systems today while we stayed warm and dry in her cabin with the Webasto humming away. We look forward to meeting up with many of you as we cruise the Salish Sea.

Quite a day for a launch - hope you didn't go out very far!

Congratulations

We went pretty far. Directly from the launch ramp to the slip. Congrats to all of you on your purchase! Hopefully the weather participates for you on Sunday!

And you are pronouncing Nudibranch how - Scientifically or colloquially?

Denny-o
inquiring minds and all that, eh

Good question Denny-o, according to the Longman Pronunciation Dictionary, 2nd Edition, the name "Nudibranch" is pronounced "njuːdɨbræŋk" . I'm not sure if that would help me, but it's the best I can do in writing 😳. We fell in love with these little critters after our daughter and her dock-friend collected some of them while exploring the sides of the dock at Montegue in the Canadian Gulf Islands. Colorful, unique creatures that quietly cruise the subtital zones.

Mac, we may get the chance to try out that radar tomorrow in some snow flurries. Thankfully, the winds are due to lay down by then.

Congrats hope to cruise with you in the future

Thank you all for the warm greetings! We spent our first night on Nudibranch last night. It was roomy, warm and quiet despite the clanging of shrouds from the resident sailboats. We woke to a dusting of snow on the docks and clear, calm skies in the morning. Captain Mac gave us a good workout making sense of the electronics, learning the intricacies of driving a single screw diesel, docking and anchoring. It was awesome experiencing getting the R27 up on a plane and feeling the ride we hope to enjoy for many seasons. We are looking forward to joining you on some TugNut cruises.
