Another R-29 is born

We are flying out to Seattle on May 23 to spend the next few days getting acquainted with our new R-29 in the waters near the Port of Everett. Her name is Chessie and after a few days in the Pacific Northwest she will be shipped to Annapolis for her East Coast Commissioning. Next, she'll be moved to her home port of Hampton, Va. Choosing the Ranger Tug R-29 was the end result of a two year search for the next boat to fulfill her mission to explore, fish, and cruise the Chesapeake Bay, it's rivers, tributaries as well as waters north and south. No other boat we saw - new or used - met all our requirements so well - and Chessie will do it all with toughness, panache and a little whimsy. We look forward to meeting as many Ranger Tug employees as possible and thank all those involved in designing, building, and managing the day-to-day activities. Maybe we will run into fellow Tugnutters too, a kindred group who positively love their boats!

Let the voyages begin!

Congratulations! 😀 You've selected a great vessel with super factory support.

We lived in Hampton and in Newport News in the early '60s, for about six years. Married in the Main Chapel at Langley Air Force Base and our children were born in Hampton. We go back to the area every now and again. We were there for a couple of days about a month ago. It's hardly recognizable in so many places. But, we still love it, especially the water.

Oh YEAH.... You made the best choice!!! There is NO other boat on the market the size of the 29 with all of her bells and whistles!!! My boat, Poppy's Legacy, is in production right now!!!!!!! See you out there on the Chesapeake sometime in the future. First we are going to explore our own Pacific Northwest, then Baja, then the East Coast. Enjoy. May you share many magical moments on the water!

Bud and Elaine,
You have made one of the best purchases that Maureen and I believe you could have made. We have had Karma now for six months and still love everyday we spend on her. This weekend we were in Vegas.... our second home..... and wish we were on Karma. I have spent over 100 nights on her and Maureen 60+ nights. Not bad for "living" 1200 miles away!

The Ranger Tug family is one of the best I have ever dealt with. The only other one that comes close is Catalina Yachts which we were proud owners of for 20+ years. It is not many companies that you can call and talk to the #1 person in charge! Frank Butler and Dave Livingston have this in common!

Not sure what your plans are but, Maureen and I will be on Karma Memorial Day weekend. If you are going to be down in the Seattle area let us know. We would love to hook up with you.

Again, congratulations on the purchase of one of the finest yachts in the PNW!

Sweet.

Splashed in the Pacific Northwest and heading for the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. If you make it down to Seattle's Elliott Bay (Bell Harbor Marina puts you at the foot of the city and the wonderful Pike's Market) please let us know. We're right on the waterfront and a short walk from the marina.
