I am in the process of preparing the replacement of my (hope this is it) defective thermostat. while going through the process of draining my antifreeze I found another petcock drain that is lower than the one on the side of the heat exchanger. If you lay down on the engine with your head facing the stern look down on the starboard side of the turbo. This petcock is about 6 inches lower than the petcock on the side. It is on the end of the, what I think is the oil cooler. Draining from here will definitely remove more antifreeze. You will need to stick a hose on the end and drain it into a jug. I have not done it yet. I plan on attacking the thermostat replacement tomorrow.
