.......Besides Linedoctor and myself?
Are we the only ones on the forum or are there perhaps some lurkers who haven't posted yet?
There must be at least twenty boats in new owner's hands by now.
Hopefully Mike or Andrew can give some of them a nudge in this direction. 😉

So how do you like her? I am thinking of upgrading our R25 to a Cutwater 29 in the next year or two.

Maybe they'll come out with a C29 in the next year or two, but until then you'll have to make do with a C28. 😉

We love the design and there's obviously been a tremendous amount of thought gone into the use of space and the way that everything fits together.
I wish I could be as enthusiastic about QC though. We're still working through a fairly extensive list of teething troubles at the moment.

No buyers remorse yet though, and we anticipate keeping this boat for quite some time.

I am an owner of the cutwater 28, just not received it yet......🙁 another couple months!!!!! really excited

Congratulations! 😀

Would you like to give give a rundown of the options you've specified, and the color you've chosen?

I orderd it with the full load, all options except the gen set....we are getting it with the underwater LED lights should look prety good at night along side the dock...one thing I did add that was not on the option sheet is the Garmin Screen hanging from the overhang of the cockpit connected to the main screen in the cabin..
The boat color is going to be the Blue..
We are also upgrading the stereo and speakers...

I can't argue with your choice of color! 😉
What with the underwater lights and the upgraded sound system it sounds like it might be doing duty as a 'party barge' when you're not cruising (will it have a disco ball too? 😀 ).

I'd like to see pictures of the cockpit repeater screen when you get it. Will it actually be a second Garmin chartplotter, or perhaps an LCD computer monitor?

Nope no disco ball!! Party boat YAAAA and a bit of fishing,,,or should i say a lot of fishing🙂)
Yes it will be a second Garmin chartplotter linked up with the main screen...
Not a problem, I will definatle send you pictures when she arives.

We have a Cutwater 28 purchased in August 2012. We love it! It is docked, in-water in Long Beach, CA. Its fully loaded including gen set, which we use a lot. Wanted to know if anyone has had problems with the underwater lights located on the trim tabs. Wiring continues to be disengaged, probably by the bottom scraper when he cleans monthly.

Yep, C 28 since last November. Totally awesome boat, and the new C 30 looks even better for those that typically base out of one marina. Very impressive. Ours has been out totally self contained with no genset and a solar panel plus batteries for four extended marina free cruises now. VERY capable and comfortable boat for a couple looking to get out and about in style, while maintaining a fair degree of freedom to reposition by economical road travel from time to time. Other than the Ranger, I have not seen anything comparable in newer designs.

We are second owners of one of the older C28s with a Yanmar plant. As far as I know we are the onliest and loneliest on the southern Chesapeake.

We turn a lot of heads and have had a few questions when out. A pocket yacht is unusual for this area and those that take a closer look seem intrigued by the concept.

Typically it's mainly center consoles, sport fishers, and bleach bottles of varying sizes for powerboats around here.

Tis fun answering all the questions from the throngs of admirers and legions of curious - many on much larger genuine yachts are intrigued!

Expand you horizons..check port and starboard AND ASTERN..

Ahoy Gulfsailor;

My "Captain" says I was too criptic. first..Tugs have been around @ 30+ years, Cut's only @ 3+ years, so, not as many of us. hince, fewer posts.
second. there are many Tugnuts forums and places people post according to their interests. Check around, cruises/gatherings, photo albums, new posts, or just look around tug and cut topics.

We may not be as numerous, but, like you, just as excited about our "babies"! I have found a lot of useful information on Tugnuts from many differant topics.

We "cuts" are here, you just have to check around.. There is some talk about extra gatherings next year that will be Cutwater oriented..(but NOT exclusive, just as Tug gatherings are open to all).. partly because we are becoming more numerous, AND Tug/Cut gatherings can be overwhelming to some marinas (80 + at Anacortes, 60 + on Desolation Sound cruise, 20+ dropped by Poulsbo for October fest! And that is just in the NW!

I hope this is useful. Looking forward to meeting you and as many Cut/Tug/C/??? friends as possible.

2nd owners of 2014 C28. Purchased in April 2017. Eastern shore of Maryland, Choptank river off Chesapeake Bay. New to powerboats, former sailors. Generator, electric cooktop, aft helmstation. Thankful for thrusters, docking without a keel is challenging so far. Plan to use for 3 and 4 day trips around the bay.
