I have a new C28 and have a Lenco Auto Glide system on the way (finally - after 5 months on backorder). I ordered it without the N2K/GPS. I have spoken to Lenco and they say "We had an issue in the past where Volvo engines were pulse communicating a zero speed signal from their GPS through the engine data. If this happens, you need to add the stand alone GPS to the system & stop pulling that info from the existing NEMA network. Unfortunately, you won’t know if this is going to happen until you try to run the system on the existing network." Just curious if anyone has any experience with this?

Looking at the Lenco Autoglide kit that comes with N2K and GPS, they add a GPS receiver via the n2k network.

The Garmin chart plotter is a GPS receiver, and would be able to provide gps to the Autoglide.

The way you have it worded above from Lenco makes it sound like there’s a way to add a GPS receiver directly to the Autoglide, without a n2k network.

Edit: I guess you could connect the Autoglide to N2k to the GPS receiver. And not connect to the boat's N2k network. Technically installing a 2nd N2k network.

I desperately want autotrim on my c30 (hydraulic). Sadly the Bennett is out of stock everywhere on most of the parts. :/

Dave,
I got my system from Boemarine. They are unlike most places online. They charge you when you order, give you an ETA of the Backorder and ship as soon as it is in stock. They actually shipped mine about a month earlier than expected. Good company. I see that they are dealers for Bennett...

Thank you Robin. Maybe I’ll order it later in the season to do in the fall or winter. I’m done with haul out and big projects for this season. 🙂

Aloha Gallatintug,
Thank you and no thank you! Thanks for letting me know about this product as it looks amazing, but now I need it…

We published a video about the install, use and benefit of the Lenco Autoglide for trim tabs.

Hands down, one of the top 3 best upgrades I've done to the boat. Install took me about 4 hours. Cost was just under 1 boat unit ($1k).

I am planning on autoglide but I ordered it in November from west marine and its still out of stock. apparently it has something to do a manufacturing issue involving epoxy.

I ordered mine from West Marine several weeks ago and received it direct from Lenco yesterday. I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence or not, but the day before it shipped I had contacted West Marine through their web chat for an update.
