Has anyone heard if there are any new Ranger Tugs in the works? The rumor mill is quiet these days and it's been at least a year since the last new tug was interduced. Someone has to know something.

If you trailer your boat over to the PNW Anacortes meeting this coming weekend you could quiz all the Ranger Tug employees. :lol: I've not heard any rumors of late mind you... but Ranger does not stand still with developing new goodies for us. 😉

All quiet on the western front, apparently. :mrgreen:

R-34??? 😱

R-23? This was discussed in a previous thread, and I pledged to by the first hull. This would essentially be an expanded R-21Ec with the R-25 beam. Lotsa competition in the 33-ish trawler market....not so much at the 23' range?

Great idea Baz, we would love to trailer Gratitude out west. It's not in the cards just yet, as we are still working full time. I was just fishing to see if anyone has heard anything. It's always fun to dream about a larger boat.

Tim: Maybe when you get ready to trade up to the R-31 I can trade in my R-25 for your R-27 so long as you keep it in good shape and well maintained. 😉

...and I will take your R-25.

Barry, I like the way you think. A R31 is a big stretch for our budget, but maybe a low hour loaded R29 next year would work. For now our 27 is doing a great job getting us out on the water and learning the systems of a more complex boat. BTW, she's in great shape, just not ready to let her go yet.

Tim:

R21 -> R25 -> R27 -> R29 -> R31

We just need to get all people lined up to make the switch. :lol:

To the Ranger Tug Fairy:

If I could ask for a new Ranger model it would be for a R-23 with a foot or so wider beam. I currently have a R-21-EC and love the simplicity of the design. The entire engine compartment is easy to access and an oil change costs me about $30.00 and takes me 30 minutes to complete. If Ranger would make a R-23 and keep the engine compartment in the same configuration as the R-21 EC I would definitely upgrade. Here's to wishful thinking!

Cheers

R21 -> R25 -> R27 -> R29 -> R31

A R23 would logically fill the gap between the R21 and R25...just sayin' ;-)

R 23 -- an immediate answer to two footitis for the R-21EC gang. I could jump on one of them for sure -- marginal water depth in much of Indian River Bay be damned!

Wow, when I asked the question, I was thinking maybe a little larger than the R 31 to keep the people moving up in the Ranger Tug family, instead of buying other brands. Looks like the R23 would be a huge success for Ranger Tugs. I bet the Livingstons read Tugnuts too, you never know what might happen in the future. A R23 for under a 100K, nice idea.

Is it still fashionable to say "I got dibs on the first one"?

Check out this video, look at the boat on the computer screen, looks like a big Cutwater with a flybridge.
