Any videos of an R-23 in the water? At speed?

My R-23 is finally home in its lift! It was quite a journey with lots of ups and downs. However, the wait was well worth every second. I've owned boats all of my adult life. This one could easily be the best ever. It rides like a dream. Cruising from 25 to 30 mph while getting 3.1 mpg. It pushes to 40 WOT. In 95 degree Louisiana heat the cross flow ventilation works wonderfully at speed. The extra cruising speed circulates while you sit in luxury that could only be found in a much larger vessel. I absolutely love this boat!

I had the privilege of a test ride on the R-23 on Lake Simcoe (50 miles north of Toronto) in mid-August, and was very impressed with the fit and finish, the attention to detail, etc. This boat has just about everything you’d want on it as standard equipment. It was a very hot and humid day but the interior, with all the ports, hatches and side windows open was surprisingly cool. All the openings have screens on them except for the large window on the aft bulkhead. I plan on buying an R-23 soon, and will enclose the cockpit with custom screened canvas and roll-up STRATAGLASS windows to make a great “Muskoka Room” that’s bug free. I also plan on installing two large solar panels on the roof racks so I can be more self-sufficient while out on anchor. Also hoping to delete the alcohol stove in favour of a WALLAS kerosene stove that has a slightly larger footprint but is also a 2200-4100 BTU heater that should keep the R-23 snug on cold North Channel evenings. I may replace the small speakers in the cabin and on the transom with BOSE speakers. My cruising grounds are out of the marina in Spanish, Ontario, and a mere 10 miles from The Benjamins. No boat is ever “perfect” but for my needs the R-23 comes pretty close.
