Anyone tried a hydrofoil on the outboard?

Hi everybody, just wondering if anyone had any experience with putting a hydrofoil on the Yamaha 200 o/b cavitation plate on an R23.
I am considering it. I wonder if it would help the boat get up on plane quicker when carrying more than two people and full tanks...
Thoughts?

Interesting. That was the exact comment the owner of a new 23 mentioned this summer when I spoke with him about his boat. He was in the Desolation Sound area when we chatted and that it was the only really concern he had. Sure was a sweet looking boat.
