My batteries are ready for replacement. Anyone using the UB121000 vs. the UB121100 batteries. I know there may be newer and better options but we are mostly on shore power. The only difference I see is 100 vs. 110 amp hours. The UB121000 are significantly cheaper and I need 4. My current setup on my 2013 Ranger Tug is 2 of each battery from the previous owner. Thanks in advance.

Suggest you get dedicated starter type AGM batteries for engine and thruster. The Universal Power are deep cycle batteries. Deep cycle better for house bank.
Lots of threads about good starter type batteries on this forum. Arguably the best one out there is the Odyssey Extreme ODX-AGM31M with 1150 CCA.

When we bought our C-28 2 years ago the prior owner had just installed two Universal Power UB121100 batteries in the house bank and I kept them. They are OK but there are better deep cycle batteries out there.

Replaced all batteries on my boat this past May with Odyssey Extreme, three house, one engine start, one thruster, very happy with them, less than a year, but performing well

i have replaced x3 and continue to use the UB121 batteries for house and thruster. - 9 years in now.

I have switched out the starter battery to X2 1150CCA AGM that has better CCA. as the only real issue I have with the universals is cold crank amps - especially at anchor in the morning.

They are a good price and can be delivered to your house for free. Ive bought them from both home Depot and Amazon both with free delivery.

I Just replaced our second set of the stock ranger batteries after 3 years the last set were shot. I heard good things about the lifeline brand and decided to go with (2) of the 31XT for the house and (2) 3100T for thrust and start. They were more money but I'm hoping to get at least 5 years out of these.
