The new R29 will have its world debut with the Wefings gang in Atlanta ! We will have the full lineup or Ranger Tugs there as well as a Tomcat for the go fast folks . Jeff and Bruce will be there for the festivities and if you would like to get some Tix send me an e mail at marc@wefings.com . The roadshow will continue south throughout the month , but the first look will be Atlanta . We are all very excited !

We have been experiencing a wild ordeal trying to get the Ranger 29 to Atlanta , but it looks like we will pull it off with minutes to spare . All roadways out of Washington State were closed yesterday, as you North Westerners know , and we had a boat on the road . Well, highway 2 was the first to open and our intrepid driver Cory was one of the first to slap some chains on and get over the pass. Still has a big job cut out for him but the Atlanta show folks are very nice to deal with and will let us in late . I will be on pins and needles till I see this reportedly amazing boat in the city of Peachtrees ! We will have a 21 ,25,29 Ranger as well as a Tomcat in Atlanta . Hope to see some folks there .
In the meantime we are introducing a lot of folks to the C Dory boats here in New Orleans . Lots of talk about air conditioners , and “what do you use these boats for?” and "where's Popeye and Olive Oil " type questions . Sort of feel like an evangelist preaching the gospel of C dory. In the land of oil and gas they find it hard to believe you can run a 22 footer with anything less than a 225 !
Turner's [Kieth] and Bruce from Ranger are here with the Ranger 25 and getting some great interest . We have successfully Seattleized New Orleans !
We will spread the word !

Better news by the day , I spoke with Cory [ranger 29 hero/driver] this A.M. and he was a couple hours past El Paso on his way to Hattiesburg MS , where I will meet him around 7 A.M tomorrow. Then we will drive in formation into Atlanta , arriving in the late afternoon Mon. Then starts the cleanup,move in and positioning in the hall , the quick education [we are quick learners] and then we sell some boats !The next stop for the road show will be Andrew and I making a brief stop in Apalachicola Eastpoint to kiss my wife [ just me , not Andrew] and then onward to Stuart Trawlerfest at the Hutchison Island Marriott resort . Andrew and I will be at that show with a 25 and the highly anticipated 29 Tug .

Jeff M. and Hero/Driver Cory, Marc , and 29 Ranger [Tomcat,25 and 21 as well] are here safely in Atlanta . Looking forward to seeing some enthusiasts here . Long day driving and getting familiar with big rig truck washes today . Gotta say the folks that run the NMMA shows are the best !It was my first look at the boat up close and personal and it meets or exceeds all expectations . Looks great , trailers well , is a winner and in a class of it's own !Pretty darn exciting !

Jeff M. and Cory G. [Driver/Hero] and I put the boats in place pretty clean and together today and will have an impressive display in Atlanta . Lots of planning has come together for the entire Ranger Tug Family to be here with Wefings at the same time and place . Bruce ,Jeff, Charlie and myself will be here for this event . I have finally posted todays pics in my gallery .

Hello Henry,
Michael Vollmer is our contact that helped us with NMMA and CE certification this summer on the R21EC and the R25. Michael is scheduled to come out to certify the new R29. The R29 is built to ABYC standards and will be a matter of formality to have it certified for NMMA and CE. NMMA and ABYC share the same standards.

Hey Jeff and Marc, those tugs look great. Now, if I could just get a money cloud to open over my head for the dough. Have a great show and sell all of those boats!
 
Just got home from the Atlanta Boat Show, and the R-29 looks great. So much room in a 29 Ft. boat. We would like one, But our needs are not geared for that size boat for now. We realy liked the storage and amenities.
 
Dateline Atlanta ......Being so close to the CNN building and Ted Turner's apartment , I couldn't help it .The news from Atlanta tonight is pretty darn encouraging . Things seemed normal for us . We are the guys with the new and unusual boats . Boats that appeal to real boaters that appreciate timeless designs that are functional and practical . We are always busy for that reason .There was a good crowd of folks that came to the show on day one to REALLY SEE whats out there and that have a genuine love of boating . They come on day one for a reason . That's when you have a great chance to get some attention from the folks that have products you are interested in. And you might just have a chance to see something that nobody has ever seen before .

Quite a few folks did have that chance today and tonight with the debut of the R 29 from Ranger Tugs and Wefings Marine . It was repeatedly called "the coolest boat in the show" "The most innovative product in the show""The nicest boat Ive seen" "Such a great use of space"and my favorite , "The only boat that interests me here " . After spending the day getting used to the boat and the features and benefits, as well as hearing the first hand impressions, I consider myself lucky to be a part of the Ranger Tugs family . Kudos to the Livingstons and the Ranger Tug Team !

It was great to see our friends and fellow "nuts " here . We really enjoy this show .

Looking forward to anothr great day of tuggucation . Bruce [East Coast Rep] will be here and we will no doubt have a steady stream of truly interested folks seeing and discovering the Ranger Tugs . Its pretty cold for us Florida Boys , and we hope that drives a few folks indoors to the show .At least we are above 0 here . More to follow later .

Boy, this site is slow today. And, I'm the only one here. Of course, it could be me or m/b my software. I surely miss Windows 2000 Professional. This laptop only came with Vista. Would sure hate to depend on it for navigating.

Anyway, back to the topic. the Atlanta Boat Show!.. wefings and Ranger Tugs are doing a great job. I met Marc and Jeff, both know their products and seem like boat people to me. Keep up the great work guys! I appreciate all your help and attention.

I must mention the Ranger 29. When I entered it, my immediate impression was of the Ranger 25. For me that's a good impression; I really like the R25. Further examination revealed a much larger vessel, much more than four more feet LOA and the additional beam would indicate. We owned an Albin 27 Aft Cabin which has about the same beam as the Ranger 29. But, the R29 seems a lot larger than two more feet LOA. Ranger really did a great job with this design. And, I was impressed with how it was equipped. But, my wife said it would be difficult to run the shower head out the port and back to the cockpit; the head was forward. 😀 The wine cooler is a nice touch. 😉

I see from posting on this subject that the Ranger 25, NIXE, is located in my neck of the woods, Flowery Branch, GA. Hope to see you on the Lake.

Hope you guys have a successful boat show! I saw more traffic there than at any other exhibit.

Gene , it was a pleasure meeting you and Peggy ! The show today was an absolute endless line of folks waiting to get on the R 29 . There was at least a 50' line more folks in line to see it for at least 6 of the 11 hours of the show and some line for 8 or 9 hours! The smiles and comments that I saw and heard [as I was doing crowd control] when folks came off the boat at the bottom of the steps said it all . They would just keep plowing up the stairs till there was no room to see the boat, move around or even get off the boat . Tomorrow is the last day and it will be open till 6 P.M. I still have tickets at the will call for anyone that mentions Wefings .Next stop is Stuart Trawlerfest , there will be a more focused crowd that are all into Trawlers and we are looking forward to a little warmer temps . We are all tired but very pleased with the response .
More to come , thanks to everybody who came to see us there and to Bruce, Charlie, and Jeff M.for their hard work.

We were at the Atlanta Boat Show yesterday. What a treat! Like every one else, our initial impression of the 29 was "Wow!" What a beautiful boat it is. The design and craftsmanship – excellent. Ranger had more interest than any other vendor at the show from what we observed. Of course it was also great to meet Jeff, Marc and the others. They did a great job answering our questions and allowing us time to really look at the boats. We had decided to purchase the 25, but the 29 sure made us have to rethink some things. All of you in the rest of the country that will see this boat in the next few weeks are in for a real treat.
