Could be someone phishing. I would say all of us share our ideas openly on this site.
On the back of the nav switch is a spade connecter with two gray with red tracer wires. One wire is nav lights and the other is the panel back lights. Disconnect the back lignt wire and attach it to a seperate switch. In our case we do not use the thruster remote, so we used that switch.
