Our 2008 R25 just got a new paint job and the boat looks brand new! Before the paint job the blue and tan paint was very faded. We used an Awlgrip paint called Flag Blue and we also had the tan stripe and the eyebrows painted. The job was not cheap but the boat looks FANTASTIC! Pictures are in Banjo's album.

Looks really great. We have been talking about just doing ours as well. Between the fender marks and horrible inconsistencies in the gel coat that they have tried to repair, It just does not look good for a boat that is only a couple seasons old.

Knotflying (and anyone else interested) send me a PM and I will give you the cost, etc. Would rather not post that info on a public forum. The entire process took about a month with some delays for weather. The temperature and humidity has to be just right.

We knew when we bought the boat a couple of years ago that we would want to have it painted so we factored that into the cost. We tried several things to bring the faded gelcoat back out but nothing worked. The only option was to paint.

Thanks for all the PMs. I am trying to respond to them all. Obviously a lot of Ranger Tugs out there need painting!

One benefit to the new paint job is that people in our Marina now say "great paint job" instead of "isn't that the cutest boat" (of course some people say both).
