Bathroom/Head Sink Strainer

I over-tightened the center screw before adding the O-Ring, my bad. I now need to remove the existing Lira Basket and replace but I cannot get the screw to move. Any good generic sink strainers and how do I remove the existing strainer? Thanks in advance, James

Drill the screw out, remove strainer assembly from sink and drain pipe,
Replace with new strainer assembly available at most hardware stores and online.
You will need the size of the sink opening and size if drain pipe. Best of luck Bob

You still have a good slot on screw, why drill? I would only drill after screw head is destroyed. Get the best fitting screwdriver with a pair of vise grips on screwdriver as lever arm. Apply as much force as possible. Lean on screwdriver and twist at same time. Screw may come out or head will break off.

Also, see if somehow you can try to spin the strainer as you are reefing on the screw
