batteries/charger intermittant hum

Batteries are 6 years old and I hear every few minutes a hum coming from the charger. I suspect the batteries need replacing. Sounds like the charger is trying to keep the batteries charged but they are discharging somewhat more often.

Hello to Smithfield! I would agree with your assessment. Sounds like the charger is working overtime..
 
A load test on the batteries will tell you if there failing. But I am thinking that the charger is failing causing the hum or something with a high demand is turning on.
