We have a 2017 31 CB.

When we left our old trawler at our dock, the last thing I would do is turn off the battery switch. When doing this, the refrigerator would kick over to 110.

Is there a downside to leaving the batter house bank on when leaving? That way, when we come back to the boat, the frig would be cold (hence we can leave beverages and ice tray).

Am I missing something? I'm pretty sure both the frig in the galley and the one in the cockpit is 12 volt only.

Thanks,
Bobby

I leave house power on when at the dock and plugged in to shore power. We need to do that since we stock the fridge and we're at the boat several times a week. No downside I'm aware of.

We leave the shore power connected, battery charger on and house batteries on to keep the fridge cold when away from the boat. I'm also at the boat every 3 to 4 days to check on conditions, so can make sure the beverages in the fridge are being maintained at the proper coldness.
I also installed the galvanic isolator as recommended on this site and am hoping to get some extended time out of the zincs.
