Battery Switches

If I'm connected to shore power and have the battery charger on at the 120v panel, do I need to leave the battery switches in the on position in order to charge the batteries? If not, am I hurting anything by leaving the switches on?

No you do not, but if you are running a refer, or something else as I do. Then yes you need to leave the house battery on.
 
Thank you. I had been leaving the batteries switches on during the week and that didn't seem right.
 
I leave the house battery on to keep the fridges running
