I have an R29 and plan on installing a Victron battery monitor this weekend. I need to purchase a negative cable to complete the install but I’m not at the boat to check the gauge of the wire. Anyone happen to know?

The electrical diagram says 2/0 but I haven't measured. I'd love to hear how it goes. I'm planning on installing one soon.
 
Also, I ordered my cables for the Victron install from Pacer Group. Custom lengths and made and assembled in USA.

On my R-31 there were two cables going to the negative side of the house bank—one was 3/0 going to the negative bus and the other was 2/0 going to the inverter. The schematic actually shows an additional 3/0 cable going from the house bank to the engine & thruster bank negative. ALL outside negatives need to be channeled through the shunt before connecting to the house bank. So where I had to make a path using a single cable in my battery monitor install, I went to 4/0.

Thanks. The process was a bit more complicated than I originally thought. Closing the loop, the negative cable is a 2/0. I bought custom ones from Pacer Group (https://www.pacergroup.net).

What length of cables did you need? I’m going to do this and would like to have all the gear in hand.
 
R23 wiring schematic shows 1/0 and that’s what is installed on my 2020 R23. I installed the Victron SmartShunt and used 1/0.
