The admiral and I spent this past Friday (8/30) on a 5+ hour cruise of various ports and harbors viewing the tall ships in Lake Erie for tomorrows enactment of the Battle for Lake Erie. We started off from our marina in Marblehead, OH and headed Northwest to Mouse Island and turned south to Port Clinton where two of the tall ships were docked. From there we headed north to Put-in-Bay and had a great view of three vessels, two engaged in a broadside cannon battle. Docked in at Put-in-Bay was the US Brig Niagra which is quite an impressive vessel and was Admiral Perry's flag ship. From Put-in-Bay over to Kelly's Island for one of the smaller vessels but it was interesting to also catch the jet express departing and photograph the two together. I read the post by Denny-o in the Garmin 5212 depth reading thread - Denny we manged to beat a majority of the "herd of lookers" at Put-in-Bay although there were certainly some crazy boat tactics being displayed in such a confined area.
Selected photos are located in Just Dreamin' album.

Nice photos Mike. Looks like you had a beautiful day to see them. But I think you should have put a cannon on that tug and joined the battle. Now that would make Ranger Tug history!
