Fluid Motion Model
C-24 C SE
Vessel Name
Kimberly Marie
When I was putting in at Everett today I saw the Fluid Motion factory demoing a new Cutwater model. I won’t say much, as they didn’t want me to take any photos, but it’s reeeeealy cool.

So not fair to tease like that  did they give a hint on when they are going to announce it

We have been told about a 10' C28, was that it? Sounds great, my wife really wants a wider boat.

Wider boat or thinner wife? Has any one done the cost comparison? Just wondering! Bob

How about at least the approximate length!

They are ceasing production of the C28 this year so probably a replacement for that.

Cutwater is a great line of awesome boats but they are missing The Big One, something like C42... 😉

I do wonder why there’s not anything between the C30/C32 and the R-41 (or I guess they’re calling it the 43 now). This seems to be an industry wide trend where there’s boats in the ~300k new range and then boats that are ~$1m but nothing really in between. Maybe it’s because all of the people that can afford something north of a C30 can also afford an R43 haha!

They're still calling it the R-41. It's 46' LOA.

Cheers,

Bruce

Bruce,
On the RT.com website under “Models” it now says R-43 S and R-43 CB.

I heard it's a C28 Outboard, that could be great, but the current C28 is a hard act to follow. Certainly the current C30/C32 with twin OB's are super cool and a very nice package (Especially in Ice blue, my favorite) But one of the things I personally don't like about the New style R27 is the lack of swim platform. To each their own but I can't wait to see the new C28!
Or anything else FM do for that matter.

I stand corrected. Guess I didn't get the memo. The boats shown were 41's when launched. I'll have to go to the marina and see if our boat got bigger.

😉

Bruce, I am looking at your R 41, 43, 44, whatever right now. It does seem to be getting longer. Who knew. Expect higher slip fees soon!

This begs the obvious question, is there an industry standard for giving a boat a number? Some give the actual LWL or LOA, others—like RT—give something shorter. Why do they do this? The opposite of an inferiority complex?

And yes, RT needs something in the 35-37 ft range. The 40-something is a lot of boat! I have been nagging them.

I agree.
I Have an R29 wit ha 10 foot beam. I would really like to see an RT35ish with a 12-13ft beam and the typical RT features. Obviously, the trailer ability goes out the window, but that extra 6 feet of length and 2ft of beam makes it a nice size salon. and adds a room for few other options like real second berth.

I don't need twin pod drives. I would be happy with a dingle diesel inboard and 10 knot cruise. Think AT or NT, with RT features and ingenuity.... I could be a player for something like that.

Totally agree! 35 feet, 12-13 ft beam, real second birth, shaft drive instead of maintenance prone IPS pod drives (outboards are sexy but gas is a lot more expensive than diesel around here)

Actually, I would like a OB C26, a bit bigger then then the C24, but still light enough to tow with a 3/4 ton pickup. Dual 300 Yamaha’s would be nice 😀

My previous boat was a Regal 3560 with a 35’ hull and 37’ LOA with swimstep. They later changed the model number to 3760 - same boat.

Hey, all we want to know about the new Cutwater is this, is it a center console boat, set up for fishing, or is it a cabin console like the current C-28?
