Barry, I replaced mine with LED and IMO the difference in light is negligable. I will see if I can find the exact bulb I ordered. I purchased mine through MarineBeam a good company that stands behind their product.
PS. Here is what I bought- the color is Warm White - G4 LED Bulb 10-LED SMD Power Cluster X-Beam
I have to differ with Jim on this one. The LED light is not only brighter but is also whiter than for incandescent bulbs. The type of light emitted by LED is for ever changing as manufacturers keep trying to make the LED more compatible with the type of 'warm' light that incandescents have. This is my current opinion having converted to using LED about 2 years ago.
The big advantage of LED is the reduced power they consume compared to incandescent.
In my house bathroom I installed a string of LED lights above and behind a large wall-to-wall mirror. They were hidden behind the mirror close to the ceiling. The total number of LEDs I used was around 20 and they consume 6 watts and give of practically no heat, so they can be left on 24x7. Not one has failed over these 4 years of constant use. They were the 'warmest light' ones I could buy at the time but are whiter than their equivalent incandescent bulbs.
