Hello all.

My bildge pump works fine in manual however it doesn't seem to work in automatic ?
This a new issues as it's worked fine.

How do I find the issue or what do you suggest I start with?

We were able to find the issue. Blown fuse. Easy fix.

The issue now, why would I have that much water in the bildge for a 3hr run?

Hello Handy,

HOW MUCH water are you talking about? Did the High Water alarm go off?

As to the question of WHY so much water...how many drips/minute from the stuffing box whilst underway? Does the stuffing box drip while the shaft is NOT turning?

Double check that you plug is not cross-threaded and that it is in tight. Are any of the through hull fittings leaking? Open some hatches and look around...

Let us know what you find.

Hey Dave.

Thanks for the reply.
High level alarm did sound.
Doesn't seem to take on water when not running.
Not sure on drips per min, I will check.
Plug not cross threaded.

Something else you might consider ........ check the drain plug on the bottom rear of the muffler ..... sometimes after winterizing it is not replaced correctly or not replaced at all and it would only drain while the engine was running. A quarter inch drain could put a lot of water in the bilge in three hours. In case you are not familiar with the drain, it is the small gray cap that is at the back end of the muffler and it is difficult to reach and secure properly.

Not to be alarmist but I would not use the boat anywhere except in your harbor until I figured out what is causing the high water alarm alert. On my R25sc, that is a lot of water at 8.3 lbs per gallon.
