Learned today that Billy Proctor passed at age 90 on May 13th. Billy’s unique museum on Gliford Island (near Echo Bay) was one of a kind experience in the Broughtons.
We were fortunate to spend an hour talking to Billy last year. An amazing gentleman with impressive contributions to the area.
RIP Billy!

We enjoyed meeting Billy in 2023 at his home/museum during our trip to the Broughtons . He was a friendly and kind soul. There is a book written about his life that is an interesting read: https://www.amazon.com/Heart-Raincoast-Story-Alexandra-Morton/dp/1771511796
