Anyone purchase an aftermarket bimini for a Cutwater 30 CB? If so from whom? Thanks in advance!

Andy

Many of the C30 CB's have added an after market bimini out here in the Seattle area; a long way from where you live. I added a sunbrella dark navy bimini and replaced ALL the standard tan canvas with the dark Navy. Did not enclose the flybridge but added canvas around the flybridge seating area.
Looks very sharp and got a quality job at a bargain price of $3700

sjreib, can you post a picture of your 30CB with the navy bimini? Sounds nice!

Does anyone have the length of their bimini for Cutwater 30 command bridge bimini that they are willing to share, I measure at 92-113" depending on where I end the aft measurement and I want the bimini to cover the aft seat on the bridge. I am having a real hard time finding a reasonable option locally for bimini, considering a premade unit though wondering if anyone has any experience with them?... taylormade for example. I have spoke with King Canvas who can make one but it comes with no directions and the yard is being difficult about installing for me and I dont want to tackle alone as this stuff is not my forte. any insight/advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Andy

We ordered a bimini for the command bridge from https://www.coverquest.com/ on our 2015 CB30. The specs were:
Height 48", Width 79"-84", Length 96", Carver 8 oz. Performance Poly-Guard Bimini Top Color: Beige Frame and Hardware: Aluminum Frame with Stainless Steel Hardware - ( x1 )

I used the hand rails of the command bride to mount the port and starboard swivel hinge. Used this hardware from Amazon for rail mounts https://amzn.to/2pKJzhL

You can order the bimini with aluminum or stainless frame. We ordered aluminum and are happy with the looks and function to date. The beige color is not an exact match with the other canvass but close enough and will be better as it fades with age.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures, but if you PM your email address I'll take a pic and email it to you when we go out this week.

Regarding the "standard tan canvas"
We are looking to purchase a used Cutwater 30CB. What is the standard canvas package that would have come with the boat when new? We see a few boat pictures with seat covers (lower & upper), a tent type cover over the cockpit, and a bimini over the flybridge. We see some with snap-on covers over the fore and aft windows.

Thank you,
Sharron

Not sure what's in the standard package but our 2016 had "Command Bridge Bimini Top" as an option and not standard.

In addition to that, the canvas that I recall receiving as follows (I could be forgetting one somewhere...):
- seat covers (aft seat, 2x side seats, 3x pieces for CB seating)
- command bridge cover over electronics/controls
- front windshield
- 3x snaps for rear exterior windows
- 1x velcro for cabin door
- 2x canvas covers for the tabletops (cockpit and CB)
- 1x for flagpole (? - this was one that we never used)
- 1x underneath CB helm (to hide wiring, I believe this was added in 2016 model year though)

So, a few more than you listed but no tent type cover over cockpit on ours.

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much! Great to know what to expect. One of the great things about Cutwater (and Ranger too) is the volume of included features.
