Hi, I'm a new owner of a 2017 31-CB. There is a picture in the Gallery of an R31-CB with a Bimini top. Is this the top that is offered as a factory option for $3500? Do you know the approximate height? Since I'm in Florida I would rather source this locally if possible. Any help is appreciated.

2017 Ranger Tugs R31-CB

Hi Brian
i am also a new owner of a 31CB in Florida (Palm city)
I just put two biminis on my boat one for captain and other for the seating area behind captain sat on fly bridge
I paid less than $1,000 for both with all fittings, it took 1 hour to install both, there is a marine liquidation store on RT 1 in fort pierce , that has many colors and sizes

You are the guy with the info I need, thanks for your reply. Do you have pictures? I would love to see what you did. Do you recall the height dimensions? Did you use support poles on both ends or just one or none?

Any help is really appreciated.

Lukesdad or others...

Hi,
I have a 2017 R-31CB and I need to replace my bimini.
I noticed in an old post that you (Lukesdad) bought aftermarket biminis. Are you still happy with them?
Is it possible for you to share a picture and/or purchase information so I might be able to order a set?

Anyone else happy with an aftermarket bimini for an R31 Command Bridge?

Thanks much!
Bobby

We bought a Bimini for the upper helm station from national cover. I wanted one that was longer than the factory Bimini. Here are the specs at what I purchased. With the longer cover I could not just mount it on the rails in the front. I had to modify the forward tube by adding about 6 inches to it and then installed mounting brackets on the dash at the base of the windscreen. The rear support poles mount to the rails. I also have the forward straps that mount just below the windscreen in front of it.

We are in a covered slip and it folds down easy by staying connected at the dash area. Un clip the 2 straps and then remove two pins and it lays down on the seat behind the helm seat.
Pictures would be helpful. I’ll look to see what I have.

(1) Summerset Elite - Premium Canvas
72" LONG, FITS 73"- 78" WIDE
Color: Jockey Red
46" High Boat Bright Polished Aluminum Bimini Frame

My Bimini covers forward of the windscreen and back to the mast. Much better coverage than the factory one but it did take some planing and customizing. But I saved over $3000
