When we purchased our new 25SC, the Bimini was installed. Today we wanted to put it down by folding it up at the stern. We tried and tried to figure out a way to get it out of the slot about the door's overhang. Could never get enough slack to o so. So we took the entire canvas off and folded the poles back towards the stern and put the boot on the bare poles. Are we just idiots? We must be missing something. I would think it all could be folded back and then just folded forward when we need relief from the sun...

My experience has been that you do need to release pressure in order to remove those front brackets from the overhang. They can be difficult to slip out at times but with a few times of doing it experience prevails. Releasing the pins at the stern should help and then by leaning it forward that should release pressure to slip out the front slip fastners (vinyl rails) then release the pins at the front brackets at the door overhang, slip out the brackets ( they do need some huffs, puffs aqnd grunts at times)and then tilt it all back. Insert the rear support rails in their slots and insert pins and then wrap the canvas around and zip the cover on. It is definitely a 2 person operation. If you are going to trailer the boat remove the canvas from the rails otherwise after a while you will get worn areas where the vibration of rails on canvas will cause the canvas to wear through.

Good luck and be prepared for a couple of yelps from a pinched finger or two. The pain will subside and so will the frequency with experience.
