Andrew:

I have a bimini on my R27. The sunbrella is attached to the frame. It is not quite obvious to me how the front edge of the bimini attaches to the boat.

Do you have a schematic or a description as to how this attaches?

Thank you,

Not Andrew, but here is a picture of Russ and Toni's R27 showing the front attachment point. It appears that a slide in attachment is used plus snaps at the corners. You should have a track that the front edge of the bimini slides into.

If you want a full size photo, I will be glad to email it to you.

I have learned (when I bought my bimini) that occasionally the boats come through WITHOUT the tracks on either side of the cabin entry on top of the trunk. This is true of boats that come from the factory without the bimini pre-ordered. Dave Hauch (http://kingmarinecanvas.com/aboutus.html) actually asked me this as I ordered my bimini from him, and he through in the tracks for free which saved me hassle and discovery of missing stuff needed to attach the bimini.

If you ordered the bimini with the boat, your dealer should install them for free. If the dealer is not nearby, they do not look too difficult to put in if you don't fear drilling holes in your boat. The front edge of your bimini will have cord sewn in which slides into the tracks. Its all self-evident, if the tracks are installed-which is why I suspect yours are missing.

Thanks Folks. Peter at WIYY helped me out and I am all set.
