Black water level.

How do you know the black water level in tank.
This is on a 2022 ranger 27 OB

On our 2015 R31-Cb, there is a color coded light above the toilet - RED means your black water tank is full and needs to be emptied. (Goes Green - Yellow - Red). If you let it go too far, it will spill out in the overflow outlet on the side (starboard for ours) - there will be no doubt when that occurs.

What Jeffrey said is correct. One more thing to add: you should not be able to do a normal flush when the sensor shows red, as the system will not allow a flush with the normal pres. You can however override that with a long press on the switch if absolutely necessary. Just heed Jeffrey's words on the consequences. 😉

On my 2021 RT27OB there is no black tank level light.

On our 2021 R27OB during the factory experience we were shown an 'inspection window' on the side of the holding tank. Remove the step cover between the head and the hanging closet and using the camera on my phone I can take a picture slightly aft and starboard. Can't see it without a camera or mirror.

Our 2021 R-31 CB came equipped with a Tecma EasyFit toilet. The panel has a tank full indicator light. According to the manual green is less than half full, yellow is at least half full and red is full. There is a sensor located at the tank mid point that triggers the yellow light. Hope this helps.
