I just added a new fold out type boarding ladder to the swim platform of my R-27- it is a substitute for the one that slides out under the hull below the swim platform-MUCH easier to board now from the water and was able to keep the handrail that was already there
If anyone else out there is looking to do the same i can supply the info and pictures of what we did
I just joined today so this will be my first post -look forward to getting any helpful hints and information from the group

I would be very interested in the folding ladder replacement. We have a 2019 R27OB and the pull out ladder works but is not great for getting back in the boat after stopping for a swim. Please provide a link to where you purchased the ladder and any tips to ease the installation. Thanks for the information

We bought the ladder on Amazon-you will need to get a 1/2" plastic plate (went to WestMarine and bought it) to make it set level over the stern
the plate screws directly to the swim platform and and the plates for the ladder connect directly to the plate-
took us about an hour to mount it
I will attempt to send you pictures- but im not very good at doing that
we bought it from a company called YeaMarine -4 step SS folding boat ladder--$120.99 total cost for ladder-had to buy the screws and the aforementioned plate-total cost was around $150
