Question. Has anyone used a "sling" type boat lift on a Ranger 21-EC. I was curious if the hull would support a sling vs a cradle lift.

When I purchased my boat and they put it into the water for the indoc, they used a boat lift with wide webbing to put the boat into the water and then pull it out - no problem. I think most boats now a daze would have a hull strong enough for slings. I think my concern would be the other way around. Would the cradle be configured properly for the hard points of the hull.

A sling is the only way I have launched my new Ranger Tug 21EC, about five times now. The first time you put your boat in slings you will learn where the balance points are fore and aft. Be careful at the shaft. The launch I go to has two sizes of slings, so make sure the one you plan to use is rated for the weight of the 21EC.
