Boat transporting companies...

I am trying to determine if it's smarter for me to buy my new 2018 R-27 without a trailer and mooring it someplace. When I want to go to some long-distance place -- like the Sea of Cortez, for example -- I would hire a boat-transport company to take it there and back.

I have a 3/4-ton truck, so renting a trailer to haul the boat someplace is still a possibility.

But I am wondering if anybody can suggest the names of boat-transport companies so I can determine what it might cost to haul the boat to distant places.

I don’t think you can safely tow an R27 with a 3/4 ton truck.

I've read on earlier threads that $2 per mile for a 8'6" beam is typical for transport costs. At 1,500 miles each way (roughly) to the Sea of Cortez, that would run $6,000 round trip for transport. Might be more since you are going into Mexico.
Never heard of anyone renting a trailer for such an extended trip but who knows someone here might be willing!
My truck and boat insurance doesn't cover me in Mexico so I don't plan that trip anytime soon.

Ford, Chevy and Dodge all make 3/4 town trucks that, IF PROPERLY CONFIGURED AND EQUIPED, can tow anywhere between 14,000 to 18,000 pounds. Given that a R27 on a trailer normally weighs in at between 11,000 and 13,000 pounds, you may be fine towing with a 3/4 truck.
Read the all the towing specs for your specific truck including ALL the gross weight limits to see if your 3/4 ton can safely tow that weight range.
