What does everyone recommend to clean and then wax the outside of IMG_5006.jpegour Ranger 29S? We want get it cleaned up and shiny.

I would recommend Collinite products. My R29 sedan loves them!

Second Collinite. It's a hybrid with both carnauba and polymer. Lasts longer than Carnauba alone. I usually buff with 3M heavy duty first.

I use Jescar Power Lock……Goes on easy, comes off easy. All by hand. Incredible shine, and lasts for 6 months.
Available from Amazon. 16 oz. does my R23 4 times.

Are you applying and buffing with an orbital buffer or the good old fashioned way, wax on and wax off?

I’ve wondered about those automotive hybrid ceramic waxes. They are awesome on cars - last way longer than regular wax without more challenges to put on.

D, I have a R23 blue hull that needs moderate oxidation attention about every 6 months. It’s in the water water round in Florida and Maine.

First step is Meguiar’s power cut 91 using a medium pad and a cheapo 6” DA orbital …..all available at Harbor Freight. I then apply the Power Lock by hand with a spongy applicator, let dry and wipe off by hand with rag stock from Lowe’s. The whole process hull sides and transom only, takes about 4 hours and looks fantastic. I do the top sides and cockpit as needed, and the roof, both as separate projects.

BTW I also use Power Lock on my cars. It’s half the effort to apply and remove, and lasts much longer in my opinion. I’ve only seen it on Amazon. Get the smallest bottle, as a little goes a long way. Avoid over application. Good Luck!
