I hope to see many of you at the Trent Severn Rendezvous. I have boated this area most of my life and have always enjoyed it. Recently after owning a Ranger Tug and meeting more and more people doing the Great Loop. I have been told over and over again that is is the most beautiful part of the loop..

I wanted anyone coming to our area to note that you are not allowed to discharge sewage overboard in the lakes or rivers up here. You will need to have any waste pumped out. Not all marinas offer this so you need to search out which do, on your route. (There are enough that it is not a worry at all.)
Having travelled around somewhat myself I find our rates quite expensive.
I just called Bridge Port Marina (1-705-326-7898) They are located in the narrows between Lake Simcoe and Couchiching and they are charging $30 CDN this year for a pump out.. If you get any amount of fuel this drops to $20 CDN.. If you get $300 fuel it is free.
Fuel ( subject to and will change) Gas $1.60 per litre and Diesel $1.50 / litre.
If you are traveling around call ahead where you are going and check prices for fuel and pump outs, ask about deals..Sometimes you might be able to camp at a marina if you get fuel. Depending on availability..
Back in my Sea Ray days with big twin engines I never had to pay for a pump out.. but now with my Tug I rarely buy fuel but need to pay for pump outs.. This cheaper 🙂

Really hope to see a lot of you at the Rendezvous.. Being in contact with Jim Favours I know he is working hard behind the scenes to make this one of the best ever!!

Thanks for the information Mark. For those coming from the States it may be cost effective to have a pump out and fuel fill before entering Ontario.

Anita & I are planning on crossing the Blue Water bridge at Port Huron to enter Canada. Does anyone have any advice on the traffic around Toronto because it looks like the 402 to 401 and up 400 route is the most direct way to get there from Indiana and Southern Michigan?
