Sounds like the US/Canadian border is closing very soon for us non-essential folks. Cr*p!
Stay safe out there!

No matter what may come, this will prove to be a most interesting spring boating season.
I sure hope the fish are biting!

The king, I mean Trump has stated that commerce will cross. But the boarder will be closed for visitors.

I'm planning to purchase copious quantities of bait and beer, but will have to forego my usually-prodigious commerce in the acquisition of Poutine unless it can be obtained at the fuel dock. I hope that will not disqualify me.

Before you come across either here or stay in the US consider three things:
1 Consider that YOU may have it now and are going to spread it to any unsuspecting person that comes into contact with anything you have touched and if that person has a compromised immune systems or is 70 yrs plus You will likely kill them.
2. Check your health insurance. My extended insurance told me that if I travel out of the country that my insurance will not cover any virus related illness
3. When you report to the customs you will be turned away.

Hate to be a buzz kill but think about it.

Your comment suggests a far greater certainty of calamity than is expressed by the CDC, the WHO, or by any medical professional I've heard or read in the past week.

I don't go boating to get close to people, but to get away from them. Nobody but me will be touching my boat, and I don't have any plans to arrive at any Canadian ports any time soon.

Trudeau can keep the Poutine.

Can’t say where your getting your intel from but the CDC and WHO is calling it a pandemic.
From the CDC web site:
Updated March 18, 2020
CDC is responding to a pandemic of respiratory disease spreading from person-to-person caused by a novel (new) coronavirus. The disease has been named

From the WHO:
The COVID-19 pandemic is a global health and societal emergency that requires effective immediate action by governments, individuals and businesses.

What is a Pandemic?
A pandemic is an epidemic occurring on a scale that crosses international boundaries, usually affecting a large number of people.[3] Pandemics can also occur in important agricultural organisms (livestock, crop plants, fish, tree species) or in other organisms.[citation needed] A disease or condition is not a pandemic merely because it is widespread or kills many people; it must also be infectious. For instance, cancer is responsible for many deaths but is not considered a pandemic because the disease is not infectious or contagious.[4]

I’m not one to panic but we all better take this serious or our medical system (both US and CA) will be overwhelmed and a lot(more) people are going to die.

Oh and Trudeau says he can take you

Lets not get crazy in this thread. All good point on the CDC. But I took this as more of a joke and if some one was to cross the boarder it would be in there boat and not stepping foot on the hard.

Who would gas up there boat in Canada from the US and pay more? Now lets have fun here and I promise not to cross the boarder and follow the CDC and I am sure other will too. 🙂

This thread is closed. Back to boats, boating and boaters.

Cheers,

Bruce
