Does anyone know what the bottom paint is that the factory puts on? Actually they farm it out. I need to do some touch ups.

I do not know but if you do not get your answer here I'd suggest giving Andrew, Kenny or Ivan a call at the factory in Kent.

When I asked a little while back, Andrew said it's Sea Hawk AF-33.

Factory did my bottom paint the first time (2013 model). Sea Hawk was the brand their contractor was using at that time.

We are having ours done now (sanded down and repainted) at CSV in Des Moines (I'm told they do all the Rangers). I think someone above answered your paint question already, but there is another paint.
We are having our trim tabs done to prevent mussels and barnacles also. It is a different kind of paint. We are also clear coating the prop and rudder to keep the little vermin off of them for a while longer. Not sure what kind of paint they are using but I can find out if you would like me to.

Yes since your are talking to them please ask them. I had mine done by them as well in the fall of 2014

How well does the Sea Hawk AF-33 fare being loaded and unloaded on a trailer?

The prior owner of my Cutwater 28 had the bottom painted by a third party and the bottom paint scraped off where the boat is in contact with the trailer. I plan to paint the bottom over the winter but want to use paint that won't scrape off when loading/unloading the boat.

I have always used Petit Vivid Black and use Liquid Rollers on the bunks. Never an issue. I would check with Petit to determine what you may have to do to apply the Vivid over the existing product.

Good evening seadot,
Unfortunately I don't think their is any bottom paint or any outher paint that won't scrape off when loading your boat on or off unless you just flote it on, flate it off?
I think you will find that when you flote it on, flote it off your problem will GO AWAY.
Enjoy boating this winter!
Happy holidays,
Mike
