Hi all,
Anyone have any insights as to a design for a ladder attached to the bow which could be used for shore access when beached ?
Thanks,
Chris R-27 OB

i just ordered this a couple of weeks ago ...9 stepper..

https://bumperbecky.com/

will let you know how it attaches when it comes in...the factory and my mechanically inclined friend thinks it will..

i will watch and see if you get any feedback from others...i have a 2021 27 LE - the 29 has a built in one...but too much boat to trailer for me..

thanks

Thanks Pat
Ours is a 2021 R27 LE as well
Those steps look great .I had more of a ladder in mind but this would be much more user ( old guy ) friendly.
Please let me know what you think of it.

I’d be really interested in what you think of them, also. We have a 2022 R27OB.
Thank you,
Danny

I have a Cutwater 28 with the bow ladder, which is useful to me.

I also have this ladder that I use to reach the cabin roof: https://www.amazon.com/Telescopic-RIKAD ... ast_sto_dp

I also use it on some docks where you have to step up to the walkway. It is very easy to store and could work for beaching the bow, although it wouldn't be attached.

This one is aluminum; I think I have the stainless-steel version.

Please let us know how this works out! Thanks, HB

not sure i ever got back to you - only needed an 8 stepper - had to take the headline off inside boat to install - had to modify one of the brackets to fit the outside deck - works good - drawbacks - you need to have someone on shore to get it put it up and down - too big to pull it with a rope without scratching your hull - blocks vision a bit - its heavy - i put in my truck when towing and install it on dock when the boat is in the water - its really the only way to get in and out of the boat when pulled up to a sandbar - but we usually stay in place for 2 to 3 nights - if making a run then pull the pins and leave it on shore - overall it is a safe and secure way to get in from the front and i am glad i bought it -
