I broke the plastic hinge on one of the bow hatches on my 2018 Cutwater CB30.
Can you tell me the manufacturer of these and or where to get a new one?
Thanks, Steve

Fluid Motion uses Jim Black hatches. Search HMG High Tide for the manufacturer and there is a link on their website for various retailers that you can order replacements from. I just ordered one from Great Lakes Skipper from that link.

I had a crack develop on the corner of one of my Jim Black hatches. I emailed them some pictures and they sent me a whole new hatch to replace it. No charge.

Thank you both.
I found it on HCM Marine. But out of stock.
I epoxy glued the hinge base today. I’ll check it out tomorrow to see if it’s watertight.
If so, I may never open it again.

Great Lakes Skipper has Jim Black Hatches in stock (I refuse to admit how I know that if you forget to close them before driving down the road you will have to buy some) and they ship them promptly.

One of my bow hatches developed a crack in the corner and now it leaks into the stateroom. I would like to contact the manufacturer to ask about getting it replaced as a warranty issue (as noted by "CruisingElvinRay") but I'm having trouble locating any contact info. Does anyone have contact info for Jim Black hatches?

UPDATE - With a little more digging I found references to HMG Hi-Tide Manufacturing Group [https://www.gotohmg.com/ in older posts on TugNuts. I have reached out to them by phone and email, and I'll share what I find out.

-Darryl

Hey there Darryl, the parent company is called Hi Tide Manufacturing. Here's their website:

https://www.gotohmg.com/

They have a contact us form, or you can call them directly. I have hairline fractures in my bow hatches on my C-30CB as well, but since my boat is a 2016 they will not replace them for free. Since mine do not leak yet I haven't replaced since they are $400 a pop. I will likely do it this summer when it's dry. You might be in better shape with a 2021!

They replaced mine for free when I emailed them pictures.

For everyone that has had to replace their hatches, (Ranger factory, please weigh in) what did you use for sealant? I see butyl tape is popular. I’d like to stick to whatever the factory used if possible.
