Hello all and thanks for reading. I have a 2014 Ranger R21 and noticed today that the bow thruster was dripping oil. Not a lot but definitely leaking. I bought this boat last year in Canada and brought it back to Washington. I have all of the manuals but have very little information on the thruster. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks

If it’s a Lewmar there is a plug on the bottom of the hub assembly (elbow that thruster prop is attached to) which is just pressed in. Poor design as there are no retaining clip to keep it in place. My thruster prop was hitting the tunnel and upon further investigation found that plug that keeps oil in and water out was missing. Salt water had rusted away the bearing and the shaft was wobbling. Fix involved removing motor and hub assembly. Pricey fix for what it is. Found a open box on EBay and before installing I ran a bead of 3M 4200 around the plug. Like I said poor design as the forces in the tunnel while the boat is in motion I would imagine are high. Thruster hub assembly for Lewmar 110TT part # 589454

Thanks Jimmy, mine is a side power brand thruster but I will look to see if it’s configured similarly.
